Zumanity
March 7, 2008
Cirque du Soleil has several productions in Las Vegas. Their production of Zumanity at New York New York Hotel and Casino is probably the most erotic and sexy of them all. If you are prudish you may not enjoy this one. Children should definitely not catch Zumanity. Sexuality is coupled with light humor to create a show that leaves you sexually charged and definitely wanting more. The acrobatics are on the erotic side and the show is considered to be part burlesque and part cabaret. With some nudity and a lot of thrills and excitement, it really is no wonder that Zumanity is so highly popular. Tickets prices start at $69, which is about the normal rate for a Las Vegas show. You can also get a duo sofa, although you should be sure that you can contain yourself until after the show. Overall the music is great, the performers do a fabulous job and the whole show is filled with sexy acts and erotic fantasy. This is a great show for couples. Not as raunchy as the normal strip club acts but still very erotic and highly sexually oriented. Zumanity is simply a sexy show that is produced with class and non-offensive tones. If you are planning to catch a Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas, then Zumanity should definitely be on your choosing list.
Lance Burton
March 7, 2008
Lance Burton performs one of the greatest and most entertaining magic acts on the Strip. Using props like ducks and doves, he amazes his audiences and in the end you feel that you really spent your ticket money wisely. This is definitely not one of those shows where you wondered what you were thinking when you bought tickets. This one is worth every penny. Lance uses volunteers from the audience and really connects with the entire audience and captures their attention. He comes down from the stage and interacts with people in the audience. He holds your attention so tight that you get completely caught up in every single second of the show. This is a breath taker. The show itself is great. The tricks are up to date, none of those “pull a rabbit from my hat” tricks that we all know how to solve. These are new and exciting tricks that you have probably never seen and may never again. Lance does an excellent job of keeping his audiences focused and wanting more. If you get the chance this is definitely a show to catch. Performances are twice nightly from Tuesday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and again at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday only at 7 p.m.
Danny Gans
March 7, 2008
Danny Gans is one of the most popular performers in Vegas. His shows at the Mirage are among the best to catch. With his musical impressions of such greats as Springsteen and his ever hilarious bit of George Burns imitating MC Hammer, he leaves his audiences rolling in the isles. He gives great impressions of movie scenes such as On Golden Pond, and a dead-on Forrest Gump. His Jeff Foxworthy impressions are a constant crowd pleaser. If you get the chance, and love comedy, then Danny Gans is definitely one of those performers that you want to catch. Tickets are $100 and seats are very limited so it is an excellent idea to pre-book your show. The tickets are slightly higher than other shows, but this one is definitely worth the money.
Gans has been named Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year for good reason. With his jokes and sentimentality, combined with the impressionist brilliance that he puts forth, he is absolutely one of the funniest and most entertaining men in Vegas. Of course, you could pay less and head over to Circus Circus to catch Carrot Top under the big top, but then you would miss Gan’s hilarious but disturbingly accurate impression of Macy Gray.
Crazy Horse Paris
March 7, 2008
When people travel to Las Vegas they expect to see an array of shows featuring nude women and dancing. With all the other shows and strip clubs available, you would think that Crazy Horse Paris would get lost in the shuffle. Not true. MGM Grand’s production of this erotic and sexy show is a great hit with singles and couples alike. Crazy Horse Paris celebrates the art in nudity and it does it without leaving you feeling cheap and dirty. With great music and even better choreography, the dancers will leave you spellbound. The lights that accompany the show are splendid. There are 12 collections of dancers from all over the world and they all perform beautifully.
You can catch Crazy Horse Paris on Wednesday through Monday at 8 p.m. and again at 10 p.m. The tickets are fairly priced, starting at $49, which is a great price considering the magnitude of the show. If you are looking for just another nudie show then you probably shouldn’t bother. If you want a show that is performed in a classy and sophisticated way and celebrates the female body as an art form, then Crazy Horse Paris does it like no other.
Ka
March 7, 2008
MGM Grand has a wonderful production of Cirque du Soleil called KÀ. With ticket prices beginning at $69, KÀ is the perfect show if you are looking for thrills and excitement. The show features acrobats and uses martial arts techniques to give you an exciting and breathtaking experience. There are puppets and multimedia involved that help to tell the story of a set of twins on a journey to fulfill their destiny. During their journey, the twins are confronted with opposing forces of good and evil. You simply must watch the show to understand the drama that is involved. With many other shows in Las Vegas, you simply sit through it. With KÀ you find yourself involved in a story that is awe inspiring and you get swept away in the plot and storyline. Speaking of plot, it is wonderful to find a show that offers a plot to follow. KÀ is unlike any other show that you have ever seen. The storyline is fascinating and captivating. There are no boring periods where you wish it would just be over with. For the price, KÀ is actually one of the best shows in Vegas; a combination of drama and excitement with the thrills that Cirque du Soleil is so famous for.

Carrot Top
March 7, 2008
Honestly, who doesn’t just love Carrot Top. With his sarcastic humor and hit constant energy he literally lights up the stage with his mere presence. The Luxor offers shows at 8:00 p.m. practically every night, so be sure to check out the Comedian of the Year.
Show packages include dinner at Fusia which is Luxor’s Asian restaurant. During the show, Carrot Top pulls out all the punches as he lets everyone from the Pope to himself have it with his sarcasm and pop-shots. He is absolutely brilliant. It is no surprise that he was voted the funniest redhead since Lucille Ball.
During the show, Carrot Top will pull multiple props and inventions from his trunk. There really is no substitution for the gut-wrenching laughter that follows him around. From the hilarious microphones, like Whiten Houston’s attached to a bong to Martha Stewart’s prison striped apron and Michael Jackson’s witness in a high chair, he pulls out all the stops while he turns the stage into one of the funniest sights in all of Vegas. Be sure to catch at least one of his shows. As humorous and unpredictable as Carrot Top is, it is not uncommon for people to watch him more than once.
