Danny Gans

March 7, 2008

Danny Gans is one of the most popular performers in Vegas. His shows at the Mirage are among the best to catch. With his musical impressions of such greats as Springsteen and his ever hilarious bit of George Burns imitating MC Hammer, he leaves his audiences rolling in the isles. He gives great impressions of movie scenes such as On Golden Pond, and a dead-on Forrest Gump. His Jeff Foxworthy impressions are a constant crowd pleaser. If you get the chance, and love comedy, then Danny Gans is definitely one of those performers that you want to catch. Tickets are $100 and seats are very limited so it is an excellent idea to pre-book your show. The tickets are slightly higher than other shows, but this one is definitely worth the money.

Gans has been named Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year for good reason. With his jokes and sentimentality, combined with the impressionist brilliance that he puts forth, he is absolutely one of the funniest and most entertaining men in Vegas. Of course, you could pay less and head over to Circus Circus to catch Carrot Top under the big top, but then you would miss Gan’s hilarious but disturbingly accurate impression of Macy Gray.

The Beatles LOVE

March 6, 2008

Cirque du Soleil abounds in Las Vegas and the Mirage production of Beatles Love is definitely one of their best. With the music of the world renowned Beatles playing throughout the show, the performers issue an awe inspiring act. Strobe lights and theatrical fog are used to produce a show that outlines and accents the Beatles throughout their career. From Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band where performers are surrounded by psychedelic swirls and lights to the very opening act of Because where performers climb and repel from bungees, the entire show is filled with music and a performance that will leave you utterly breathless.
Tickets are fairly priced and begin at $69 and the show is performed twice daily. If you normally appreciate the flair and drama of Cirque du Soleil, and particularly if you have a fond passion of Beatles music, then you will adore the production of Love. With a performing cast of 60 artists from around the world, the Beatles original music is represented in an awe inspiring production of lights, sound, and acrobatics including aerial performances, extreme sports, and urban freestyle dance that contributes to Love being one of the best shows on the Strip.
